Commission B encompasses all aspects of electromagnetic theory and applications, including theory, analysis, computation, experiments, and validation. Areas of emphasis are:
- Time-domain and frequency-domain phenomena and methods;
- Scattering and diffraction;
- Propagation in materials and media of all kinds;
- Guided waves, microwave and RF structures, and components;
- Antennas and radiation;
- Inverse scattering and imaging.
The Commission fosters the creation, development, and refinement of analytical, numerical, and measurement techniques to understand phenomena and improve methodologies and designs in these areas. It encourages innovation and seeks to apply interdisciplinary concepts and methods.
